Level 2 Award in Health & Safety
This can be run as a one day course (9.30am to 4.30pm) or two half day sessions ( 1:30pm to 4.30pm). The qualification provides learners with an understanding in the responsibilities of employers and employees, the benefits of good health and safety, steps to a risk assessment and how they can reduce accidents, near misses and ill-health, typical hazards and controls in a workplace, common causes of accidents, near misses and ill-health, emergency procedures and the importance of recording accidents, near misses and ill-health.
WHAT DOES IT COVER?
This course will cover:
- Accidents including, slips, trips & falls
- Legal responsibilities
- Risk assessment
- Workplace health, safety & welfare
- Work equipment
- First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Hazardous substances (COSHH)
This course is split over 2 afternoon sessions starting and finishing on the dates above. Both sessions are mandatory to qualify for the assessment.
